They are supportive to heavy axial load and to some extend to radial load. This bearing is used when load acts along the axis of rotation. This is based on the direction of load so roller thrust is introduced between moving and fixed element. To allow rotation between parts, thrust bearings are used to support an axial load. Like other bearings they permit rotation between parts, but they are designed to support a predominantly axial load. Basically thrust are using in many application like Water Turbines, Marines and Offshore drilling, Cranes, Gearboxes, Aerospace, Automobile application and many more applications. It is all thrust or force extract from rocket gives the velocity and the mass to flow by the speed of exhaust. As above discussion it is clear that Thrust roller bearing is a special type of rotary bearing which permits rotation between parts. They support axial load predominantly. It is design for only high thrust load. As thrust roller bearing play important role in functioning all a mechanical devise, it is also called self - aligning type bearing. It allows a maximum shaft misalignment. They are used in applications involving higher speed with presence of oil lubrication. It is basically design for smoothness and reduce noise.
